NEW HAVEN POLICE REQUEST PUBLIC’S HELP IN FINDING VEHICLES INVOLVED IN THIS WEEK’S 2 HIT AND RUN INCIDENTS
(10/18/2007) NEW HAVEN- On Tuesday evening, 18-year-old Jose Rodriguez was struck by a white Dodge Neon on Chapel Street. Rodriguez remains in critical condition at Yale New Haven Hospital. The driver in the neon fled from the scene. The Neon is believed to have passenger side front-end damage, a green trim around the body and may have cooper-colored residue from the vehicle it collided with.
New Haven Police are asking for assistance from the public in finding not only this vehicle but also the vehicle of the driver that struck 18-year-old Andromahi Trivellas early Sunday Morning at the intersection of Elm and York Streets. Trivellas is now in stable condition at Yale New Haven Hospital. The vehicle in Trivellas’ incident is a light colored (possibly white) mid-large sized sedan with a dark cloth roof. The vehicle taken into police custody earlier this week was released today after an investigation showed it was not involved in the incident. Anyone with information on either incident is urged to call New Haven Police at 203-946-6316.
